But then, you suddenly become aware that it's not really actually that amusing. It's just plain horrifyingly awful. And the laughter you experienced morphs into a sigh.
In the end, you are left with a sense of bewilderment. You start ruminating about the meaning of it all. Was this intended to be funny?
Or were we just living in a simulation gone wrong?

The earthquake struck suddenly, destroying entire towns in its sweep. Buildings shattered like sandcastles, and the chaos that ensued was deafening. Worst Day Ever
It all started with a terrible case of terrible hair. I couldn't do it to look decent. As I was running out the door, I stumbled and badly all over the floor. To make matters worse, I was extremely behind schedule for school.

The rest of the day was an absolute nightmare. was a catastrophe. I get anything done.
By the time I reached my destination, I was exhausted. This day, this terrible day will be forever remembered as a day to forget.
